We’ve been working with Czech photographer TWILA FEDERICA MUZZI for close to 10 years. Her style, unique eye and enthusiasm for photography and cycling has always inspired us. We were in touch with her while she was shooting the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. We asked her to put together a gallery for Faustino, and chatted with her about her experience this year.
Twila, how many Tours de France Femmes have you shot? This year is my fourth Tour Femmes. I was lucky enough to work at the first edition in 2022. I still have the roadbook, my photo bib and accreditation.
Let’s say that you guys are still stuck with me for a couple of years, and maybe more, but not forever in this role.
You were working with the Trek-Lidl team this year? I was indeed. This is my second Tour with them. I started working with the team in 2024, and so far it has been amazing. I’ve known some of them for years, so the process of getting to work with a new team was easier. The staff and the riders are amazing. I’m hoping to keep working with them!
What is it like to focus on one team? I believe focusing on one team is, workwise, easier because all your attention goes to them and their riders. I would say it’s a different story to tell people. While shooting the race itself shows “the whole” atmosphere, and normally you’d focus on the winners, shooting for a team gives you the opportunity to show what really goes on behind the craziness of the races. You can see and document the highs and the lows. Whoever gets to shoot for a team gets the opportunity to show the growth of every single rider on the team.
